Pete’s Midnight Café

Our Story

We've come a long way since our humble beginnings in 1990- when we started with serving from a hole in the wall in Karama's Kuwait Street...to date. What began as an unpretentious takeaway, has turned into the go-to, friendly, neighbourhood good food place and we hear the reviews have been pretty good too!
While we might've changed (a bit), we hope you don't find much else has. Our love for serving good food is intact. Our chefs still cook to homely perfection. Our music still goes perfectly with your food. Our smiles are equally friendly, and our sense of humour is just as bad as ever...!

Meanwhile we're stirring up more ideas to improve your dining experience, we have an indoor seating area (more of us for you to love), and an assortment of games for you to play while you wait for your food. (To keep you busy while we whip up something fantastic!) A BIG tip box (so you feel generous). And a cabinet with assorted stuff that you can take home for free. There are other aspects that will keep undergoing change as we grow, but that's for us to know and you to watch out for!
You know what they say: 'the more things change the more they stay the same' - our gratitude for God's many blessings in our lives, both big and small, remains unchanged. As does our gratitude to you, for your willingness to put your mouth - where our money is!
So if you like what we are doing and how we are doing it, tell a friend. Better still, bring him or her along! (Even better still: him and her and several others). If you don't: complaints (in triplicate) may be sent to: u.mustbe.joking@mymail.com

What they say
  • Fantastic staff, comfy ambience and food to satisfy a wide spectrum of palettes. This is one of thoae places where you can close your eyes and point to anything on the menu and you'll be guaranteed a treat. It's simple unsophisticated comfort food done absolutely right. Keep up the good work guys.

  • This place is a cool place which will keep you busy throughout while you get your food ordered, you can enjoy table top games with family and friends which bonds you together.
Ordered some street food Maska Chicken pav, Dynamite dog. The masala in the mixture is amazing taste. The Machan chicken Club sandwitch is our favourite.

  • We picked up A Chilli Cheese Garlic Bread from here with a veg Frankie. The Chilli Cheese Garlic bread was pretty good filled with cheese and chillies. Costed just 10 bucks. Gonna explore the interesting menu I saw there.

  • A casual hangout place in the hustling bustling lanes of Karama. The café has lots of games and we loved playing Spot it. It was great fun! The food was good too. Loved the cheese chilli garlic bread. Freshly baked, loaded with mozzarella and spicy green chillies. Also has the veg pasta and shandy. Both were just average. Service was good with smiling staff. Prices are mid ranged. Recommended for quick bites!

  • Surely loved this place although it's a small one. You can play games, read books, listen to some music and of course have a good meal at a decent price. Loved the concept and service too. What we tried was lovely with some good flavours. Curried Chicken Frankie, Chatpata Chicken Frankie, Easy Egg Frankie, Manisha's Mushroom Bake, LFC and Mixed Meat Salad. Everything was perfect and the fact that a gang of friends can play some games too... will miss those memories.
